Alex Burrows taken to hospital after injury at practice
Alexandre Burrows was taken out of the Canucks locker room on a stretcher on Tuesday afternoon.
The 34 year old agitator needed to be brought to the hospital after suffering an upper body injury in warm ups. Dereck Jory of the Canucks official website wrote about the incident, “Burrows left the ice in pain and was helped to the dressing room by team medical staff; it’s unclear what exactly happened, but it’s clear he won’t be playing in Game 4.”
All we knew was that it was an upper body injury, until Renaud Lavoie tweeted that it was a rib hurting Burrows.

We don’t know what Burrows status is going forward. He has been a factor in this series so far, posting 2 assists, 21 penalty minutes, and 11 shots on goal. Burrows has been playing his role in getting under Calgary’s skin, and at the end of last game he threw a heavy hit on John Gaudreau and started a fight with Kris Russell, which can be seen below.
John Shannon of Sportsnet said on Twitter that he expects Linden Vey to take Burrows spot in the lineup.
Expect Linden Vey to be in the Canucks lineup tonight, replacing the injured Alex Burrows.

If Vey (23) does in fact play, it will be his first career NHL playoff game.
