Justice! Brad Marchand gets 2 game suspension for slew foot
The NHL’s Department of Player Safety has come down hard on Boston’s Brad Marchand. He carelessly slew-footed the Rangers’ Derick Brassard in yesterday’s game and has been suspended 2 games for the incident. No penalty was called on the play but the league got this right.

Brassard was not pleased with Marchand’s actions. When asked by MSG’s John Giannone about the play he immediately identified it as a dirty hit. What was even more perplexing is the explanation he received from the on-ice officials who all four felt it was a clean hit.
Brad Marchand had no comments on the hit after the game and will now take a seat for two.
