Hockey Living: How the NHL has been helping Hockey Fights Cancer

Hockey Fights Cancer is in full swing in the NHL, let’s check in on the teams and players who are helping in the effort for in the first half of this wonderful initiative.

In midtown Manhattan, Tuesday, Rangers’ Dominic Moore stopped by the NHL Store for a little chat with fans about Hockey Fights Cancer.  Before the Q&A, he led Anthony, 16, and twins, Nathaniel and Elijah,  10, from the Garden of Dreams, around the the store to shop in what he described, to NHL Live, as a “hockey wonderland.”

After the Q&A, Moore was presented with a $10,000 check to his own initiative the Katie Moore Foundation to benefit research for rare cancers.  Moore said of Hockey Fights Cancer to NHL Live after the event:

“The hockey community is a small community and everyone is working together on it…It’s great to see when the league and the players and everyone come together to do things like this.” – Dominic Moore, 10/28/2014
