Philadelphia Flyer Arrested: Claude Giroux’s Offseason “Holding” Penalty
While the Flyers didn’t make any big noise on the UFA front, Claude Giroux made some on the back end. I warn you now, this article will be laced with puns and double entendres.
The incident occurred at the tail end of a long day of drinking at The Great Canadian Cabin Bar. Apparently, Giroux grabbed the “buttocks” of a male police office in the bar and was told not to do that again.
Claude, who is a native of Ottawa didn’t listen to the bottom line demand and touched it again. At this point, Giroux was taken out front and arrested for “holding”. His night was officially a “bummer.”
Some rumors also say that during the arrest, Giroux tried an old school “wraparound” at the officer. But reports are sketchy at best.
Claude Giroux was then put in the rear of the cop car and taken downtown to be booked. Yes, I could do this for days…
Ron Hextall, who was behind all day in the Free Agent market released this statement:
“We are aware of the reports surrounding Claude Giroux. Until we have more information we will withhold making any further comment.”
The Ottawa Sun has more on the story here.
I have to believe that this was the fine officer Mr.Giroux kindly said hello too.… http://t.co/t4IAio8iaS
